MIXING

A number of visiting mixers have dubbed films at Ardmore Sound, these include four time Oscar winner Mark Berger [K19: The Widowmaker, Royal Tenenbaums, The English Patient, Amadeus, Apocalypse Now], Leslie Shatz [The Mummy I & II, Reign of Fire, 15 Minutes, Alien Resurrection,], Paul Massey [X-Men 2 Hannibal, Jerry Maguire, Air Force One, Negotiator].

Since January 2002, two time Oscar Award Winner Tom Johnson (Titanic & Terminator 2) has relocated to Ireland and is based at Ardmore Sound. He joins staff mixers, John Fitzgerald (Magdalene Sisters & The Actors) and Michelle Cunniffe (Timbuckto & Freeze Frame)

Ardmore Sound opened a second mix stage in June 1997, to serve high end television drama and lower budget film dubbing. A number of films and television drama have been mixed there, these include Bachelors Walk / RTE/BBC; On Home Ground / RTE; No Tears / RTE; and Beckett on Film / Parallel Films/RTE/Channel 4/IFB. Four series of the BBC TV drama Ballykissangel were also mixed on this stage.
