Brie Larson wins Best Actress Oscar for 'ROOM' / by Keith Jordan

Brie Larson has been named Best Actress at this years Academy awards for her role in Lenny Abrahamson's Room!

 

Larson took the award for her Golden Globe and BAFTA winning turn as 'Ma' in the critically lauded film, based on the book of the same name by Irish author Emma Donoghue (Oscar nominated herself in the category of Best adapted screenplay).

Room was nominated for four awards at last nights ceremony, including Best Picture and Best Director for Lenny Abrahamson.

Ardmore Sound would like to congratulate Larson on her well deserved win for her fearless performance!  

An Element Pictures and No Trace Camping production, produced by Ed Guiney and David Gross, full sound post on the film took place here at Ardmore Sound, where Niall Brady was the Supervising Sound Editor; Steve Fanagan was the Sound Designer; Caoimhe Doyle was the Foley Artist; Jean McGrath was the Foley Mixer, and Peter Blayney was the Additional Sound Editor.

Ken Galvin & Steve Fanagan were the Sound Re-recording Mixers.

Room is currently showing in cinemas across the UK and Ireland.
