Emer Reynolds wins Director’s Finders Series award for THE FARTHEST / by Keith Jordan

Emer Reynolds has won the Director Finders Series Award for her work on the stunning documentary on NASA's Voyager mission, THE FARTHEST.

Chosen by The Screen Director’s Guild of Ireland, the award gives Reynolds the opportunity to showcase her work at the Directors Guild of America Theatre in LA on 16th June 2017

Written and directed by Reynolds, 'The Farthest' chronicles the four-decade work of nuclear-powered probes Voyager 1 and Voyager 2, which have traveled over 22 million combined miles since leaving earth to study the outer solar system.

Powerful, poetic and cinematic, THE FARTHEST celebrates these magnificent machines, the men and women who built them and the vision that propelled them further than anyone could ever have hoped.

Produced by John Murray and Clare Stronge for Crossing the Line Films, our very own Steve Fanagan was the re-recording mixer, sound designer and supervising sound editor for the film.

The Farthest has been making a huge splash on the festival circuit in recent months, taking home the Audience Award and the award for Best Irish Documentary at the Audi Dublin International Film Festival back in February, and screening at the prestigious Tribeca Film Festival in New York in April.

The film will screen as part of SIFF Seattle International Film Festival on the 19th, 20th and 24th of May, followed by the Telluride Mountainfilm Festival in Colorado on the 26th & 28th.
