I Used to Live Here is releaseD in Irish Cinema's this week / by Steve Fanagan

Frank Berry's feature film, ‘I Used To Live Here’, is released in Irish cinemas on this week, on April 2nd via Wildcard Distribution. Filmed on the streets of Tallaght in West Dublin, it tells the story of Amy Keane, a thirteen-year-old trying to cope with the death of her mother and the reappearance of her father’s ex-girlfriend, who experiences the temptation of suicide after witnessing the outpouring of love for a local suicide victim.

The film, which took home the award for Best Irish First Feature at the 2014 Galway Film Fleadh, has been hailed as “An important and timely examination of the tragic and terrifying phenomenon of cluster suicides”, with Donald Clarke of The Irish Times describing it as “excellent… the film takes on the quality of an intimate epic.”

Written, Directed, and Produced by Frank Berry (Ballymun Lullaby), the Film was Mixed by Garret Farrell here on Centre Stage 1.
