GLASSLAND is released in UK and Irish Cinemas this week / by Steve Fanagan

Gerard Barret's multi-award winning Glassland is released in UK and Irish cinemas this week via Element Pictures Distribution. Earlier this year, the film, starring Jack Reynor, Toni Collette, Will Poulter and Michael Smiley, was selected to play as part of the World Cinema Dramatic competition at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival, where Jack Reynor's lead performance as John earned him the Special Jury Award for Acting. The film premiered at the 2014 Galway Film Fleadh, where it was also awarded Best Irish Feature Film. It also screened as part of the recent Jameson Dublin International Film Festival where it was awarded Best Irish Film and Piers McGrail (GLASSLAND's DOP) was awarded the Michael Dwyer Discovery Award.

The film was produced by Ed Guiney (‘Frank’,‘What Richard Did’) and Juliette Bonass (‘Get Up and Go’) for Element Pictures in association with Barrett’s NINE. Watch the trailer below:
