Partrick's Day wins the 2015 IFTA for Best Sound / by Steve Fanagan

We are delighted that Terry McMahon’s award winning and critically acclaimed film, Patrick’s Day, last night took home the IFTA for Best Sound. Full sound post on the film was carried out at Ardmore Sound where it was mixed on Centre Stage 2 by our own Ken Galvin, who picked up his fourth Best Sound IFTA! Huge congratulations to the entire sound team:

Written and Directed by Terry McMahon, who also won the IFTA for Best Script Film, the film stars Kerry Fox (Shallow Grave), Moe Dunford (Vikings)Catherine Walker (Strike Back) and Philip Jackson (Little Voice).  It was produced by Tim Palmer (Into the West) and Rachel Lysaght (The Pipe, One Million Dubliners)

Written and Directed by Terry McMahon, 'Patrick's Day' explores the intimate relationship between a mentally ill young man and an older, suicidal air-hostess. When his obsessive mother enlists a dysfunctional cop to break them up, things get complicated… Starring ‘Silver Bear Winner, Kerry Fox (Shallow Grave) and Screen Actors Guild nominee, Philip Jackson (Little Voice), the film underwent full Picture and Sound post here at Screen Scene where it was edited by Emer Reynolds (Broken Tail, I Went Down, Shameless).
