Voice Recording for 'Song of The Sea' at Ardmore Sound / by Steve Fanagan

Song of the Sea, directed by Tomm Moore (The Secret of Kells) is the new feature animation film from Irish animation studio Cartoon Saloon. The film tells the story of the last Seal Child’s journey home. It recently had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival receiving some glowing reviews from Indiewire, The Hollywood Reporter and Twitchfilm.

Ardmore Sound had the pleasure of recording the vocal talents of many of the actors for the film including Brendan Gleeson, Pat Shortt, Lisa Hannigan, Fionnula Flannagan and David Rawle. Cartoon Saloon have kept an extensive production blog for the film and have posted some lovely pictures from the recording sessions with us here on The Main Stage, which were engineered and recorded by Garret Farrell.
